End of August Update

  I can't believe this month is already over! Lots of things have happened this month, I have began working on my graduate school applications, started the transfer process to go back to my home store, and have caught up with some old friends along the way.   I went back to UD to have a picnic on ArtStreet before I went to mass with a friend I had met as an undergrad there! I also started to apply for grad school, and will be working on my application throughout the fall. I am very excited for grad school because I know the experiences and opportunities I will have there will get me the career I desire to have in the future. Hopefully with this master's degree, I can be a health educator for various populations someday, such as college students, marginalized populations, etc.  Last Friday, I also went to the Dayton volleyball game and was able to catch up with one of my old supervisors! I was glad to go, as I missed how fun and electric the college volleyball atmosph...

  What an amazing two weeks it's been! After my visit to OSU, I said goodbye to a dear friend and coworker of mine who moved all the way back to Washington state. He served as both my fellow barista and supervisor, and enabled me to be a better partner, person and even a better Catholic. I'll miss seeing him and getting to joke around with him at work.  I also went to 2nd Street Market (becoming one of my favorite new places) both weekends in a row and absolutely loved it! Two weekends ago, I had the best Gluten Free/Vegan donuts I could find (kudos to Monster Baby Donuts) and last weekend, I tried Boba for the first time and had my favorite chocolate bar from a vendor I had found by going to my school.  On Sunday, after I went to the 2nd Street Market, I went to the Dayton Dragons game! It was a good time and a big win! And finally, I am writing this blog post inside a Barnes and Noble cafe, something I'm glad to be able to get to check out after so long.  I hope yo...
